With the development of the smart card technology and system integration technology, swiping smart card instead of using cash for tickets as the traditional mode, has been more and more common and has become the symbol of modernization for the city. Using a smart card in the field of public transport, not only has significant advantages, but also can improve the management level of the bus company and even the whole city by the mature IT technology, what`s more, it can promote social development.
Smart card is an integrated circuit card, which is a dedicated integrated circuit chips embedded in the plastic substrate, encapsulated into a card. Due to high safe reliability, it has been used in many different fields.
Public transportation card is a kind of smart card with “electronic wallets” and other functions. It can record the transaction data, and also can be used repeatedly by recharging.
